Mike Coykendall
Veteran songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Mike Coykendall has been amazingly prolific over the last four decades or so.
He began performing solo in 2010 with an oversized Kay electric guitar while stomping a tin can kick drum and swishing away on a huge set of high-hat cymbals. He calls this setup the “rig” and this continues to be his main form of solo presentation. These spontaneous performances are often a thick mix of Coykendall’s own compositions and reinterpretations of other writer’s famous or not-so-famous gems.
In 2021 he self released The Dirt and the Dust. This record saw him return to a less experimental, more songwriting forward, presentation.

Ben Rice
Ben Rice might be described as quiet and unassuming – until he picks up a guitar. That stealthy quality has earned him the moniker “blues ninja,” evidenced in his vocal chops and songcraft as well as his guitar playing. While Ben started in traditional blues, over the years he’s built upon that foundation with soul, R&B, folk and country to fashion a welcoming front porch where everybody wants to hang out into the wee hours. Since his large-stage debut at the International Blues Challenge in 2014, Ben has made the leap from Northwest act to national and international touring artist, featuring at festivals and stages far and wide.
In 2023 Ben added horns, vocal harmonies, piano and organ to his lineup for a larger, more energetic band that he calls Ben Rice & The PDX Hustle.

Well versed in multiple blues idioms such as the Piedmont, Delta, Texas, urban and country blues styles, He also dips into jazz, jug band, folk and even old timey novelty tunes. Tevis Hodge Jr's repertoire is an eclectic mix while his performance oozes with originality and passion. Adding his own flare to the songs he covers, he seamlessly presents originals that can mingle with the classics and stay true to the source.

Freddy Trujillo
Simi Valley, California-born, and Portland, Oregon-based singer-songwriter Freddy Trujillo is self-releasing his fourth solo album, I Never Threw A Shadow At it, May 24th. A very personal record based around Chicano experiences, it is the follow-up to 2022’s Sketch of a Man. Trujillo, who is also the bass player for The Delines and Richmond Fontaine, delivers an honest storyteller’s look at his life growing up in Southern California as a Chicano.
Fueled by the 70s Nuyorican-soul vibe of the title track, a highlight of the album for Trujillo, and one of his proudest moments, I Never Threw A Shadow At It blends folk, Chicano-rock, and a lot of heart throughout its ten tracks.
